Allah
has Apportioned deeds of Righteousness
By the night as it envelops; And by the day as it appears in brightness; And by Him Who created male and female; Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims
and purposes);
We all have different ambitions,
aspirations, dispositions and inclinations. In spite of these differences, we complement
one another and this is the beauty of life.
- Thus, Allah has apportioned talents
and capabilities among us as He has apportioned provisions, dispositions and
natures.
- He created differences in our intellect as He did in our languages
and our colours.
- We come to admire The Creator more
than the creation.
Allaah says,
"And among
His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of
your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound
knowledge." (Ar-Room 30:22)
Because of our differences we all make
different efforts in our quest to obey and worship Allah SWT. While we all should do the basic
requirement as a Muslim we realize that:
- Allah
SWT has made some of us inclined to
good deeds over others
- Some are inclined to Salaah;
- Some
are inclined to memorize the Quran
- Some recite the Quran beautifully
- He
made some inclined to alms-giving and charity works;
- He
made some inclined to fasting; and
- He
made some inclined to do strive is His cause.
He opened for us gates of voluntary good deeds, so that those among us who want to
compete would find arena for competition while ensuring their basics are done.
