Last Ten Days of Ramadan…
Every moment of Ramadan is priceless and we should not let it go without earning reward from Allah SWT. The last 10 days of Ramadan are even more valuable than the first twenty days due to many reasons. Allah’s Messenger used to exert himself in devotion during the last ten nights to a greater event than at any other time”.(Muslim). The Prophet said” “Whoever prays during the night of Qadr with father and hoping for its rewards will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari). The following are some of the programs organized during the last 10 days at Islamic Foundation:

Zakat-ul-Fitr(Fitra) rate is $ 10 per person (for 2019). Zakat-ul-Fitr should be paid before the Eid Prayer by every living muslim regardless of age. It is strongly encouraged to pay Zakat-ul-Fitr(Fitra) days in advance so that it could reach the poor and needy. Islamic Foundation has Donation Boxes for Zakat-ul-Fitr or you could donate online in this Islamic Foundation Website by clicking on the following link: Pay your Zakat-ul-Fitr
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is obligatory on all Muslims (men and women) who possess wealth at least equal to ‘Nisab. Nisab is the minimum amount of one’s holdings on whichah must be paid. The Nisab is 2.85 ounces of gold (the approximate value of 2.85 oz. of gold is $4,500). Any believer who refuses to pay Zakat is not a Muslim. It is the most important act of lbadah after Salah. It purifies assets and creates virtue. The Holy Our’an and the Prophet’s (PBUH) Ahadith warn of severe punishment to those who do not pay their Zakat.
Zakat is 2.5% of the Zakatable assets. You can pay your Zakat online at this website by clicking on the “Pay Your Zakat” icon. Alternatively you could make checks payable to Islamic foundation and drop it in the donation box marked “Zakat Fund” at Islamic Foundation lobby or mail it to the Islamic Foundation address (300 W. High Ridge Road, Villa Park, IL 60181)
